This is a new project introduced this summer 2021. The aim of this project is to explore the lives and experiences of refugees who are willing to be interviewed by the RefuHope team and have their story written and shared with their community.

RefuAid

Another one of our new and innovative projects is RefuAid. This project aims to support newcomers, protected persons, and minority communities within Ontario, Canada by providing them with free interpretation services, with a particular focus on medical access.

Our ignitor for change with regards to refugee policy/matters. This team is always in the trenches making connections and pushing for positive change through research.

Our Projects

Below is a list of all the projects that RefuHope is currently working on

RefuTalent

RefuHope has taken on a different form of advocacy for newcomers: one that is unique and presents newcomers as partners by matching their talents with needs in the community to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Advocacy Committee

We have put together an advocacy committee to take on various initiatives to increase awareness about what it means to be a refugee and share some statistical data about refugees with the general public.

Needs Report Survey

Our original research to collect data on refugee and newcomer needs in the City of London Ontario. Our team is collaborating with stakeholders (like faculty and other resettlement agencies) to gather primary data from newcomers.

RefuChange

The current active project of RefuChange is the Professional School Policy Change project. Our team is working on looking into why certain professional schools do not allow refugees to apply to their programs.
